Reinhard Latzko is a highly versatile cellist, renowned both for his extensive performing career and his success as a teacher. Born in Freising, near Munich, he studied with prominent mentors and was solo cellist of the Südwestfunk Symphony Orchestra from 1987 to 2003.

A dedicated teacher, Latzko has been a professor at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna since 2003, with former students winning prestigious international competitions and holding prominent positions in top orchestras worldwide. His teaching extends to world-class masterclasses, and he also serves as Senior Lecturer for Chamber Music at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz.

As a performer, Latzko has appeared in major concert halls worldwide and collaborated with renowned musicians like Markus Schirmer and Christian Tetzlaff. He is a winner of several international competitions and has premiered works by contemporary composers.

Latzko is also the artistic director of the "con anima" chamber music festival and has been a pioneering force in innovative orchestra leadership.

Ion Storojenco comes from a family of musicians and advanced his academic training in Vienna and Paris, studying with distinguished pedagogues such as Reinhard Latzko, Marc Coppey, Valentin Erben, and Robert Nagy. Since 2013, Ion has been a regular performer with the Vienna Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra, the Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, and the Volksoper Orchestra, performing at renowned venues under the baton of esteemed conductors like Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Muti, Andris Nelsons, Zubin Mehta, Lorin Maazel, Valeri Gergiev, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Adam Fischer, Ivan Fischer, Jaap van Zweden, Yuri Temirkanov, Semyon Bychkov, Manfred Honeck, Daniel Harding, Bertrand de Billy, and Franz Welser-Möst. From 2015 to 2017, he served as principal cellist of the Baden Philharmonic in Pforzheim, Germany, and is currently a member of the Tonkünstler Orchestra Niederösterreich.

As a soloist, he has collaborated with renowned ensembles such as the Badische Philharmonie Pforzheim, the Akademischer Orchesterverein in Vienna, and numerous orchestras in Romania and Moldova. In April 2023, Ion earned his Doctorate from the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca, where he currently teaches cello and chamber music. His artistic achievements have been recognized with numerous awards in international and national competitions, including the Gradus ad Parnassum in Graz, the Liezen Cello Competition, and the Mihail Jora Competition in Bucharest.

Ion performs on two remarcable cellos: one crafted in 1802 by English luthier Thomas Kennedy, and another made in 1892 by French luthier Charles Jean Baptiste Collin-Mezin.
